"Dinner is Served" - A Study of Psalms 23, wk 3
Week 3, and it's getting good! My guests, Mary L. Page and Dr Knight, and I share how the Lord speaks to us and what we do when we get tired of God, and the things of God. When we feel overwhelmed (the "O" word), bad things happen. The "O" word can cause us to believe those shadows of death are real. We share some tools that help us rest before the Lord makes us lay down. What do green pastures and still waters look like in your life that restores your soul? Join us as we share ours.
Tools that helped with this episode:
Mat 11:30 - For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (NIV)
Psalms 23:2-3 - 2. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3. he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. (The Passion Translation - TPT)
Psalms 61: (The Passion Translation)
Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.
2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe.
4 I long to dwell in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.[b]
5 For you, God, have heard my vows;
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
6 Increase the days of the king’s life,
his years for many generations.
7 May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever;
appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.
8 Then I will ever sing in praise of your name
and fulfill my vows day after day.
Psalms 46:10 (The Passion Translation)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
