The Lord allowed some more men to join this discussion.  I was so blessed that God did it.  We continued our discussion of our past, our parenting, and our future.

Superman possesses the powers of flight, superhuman strength, x-ray vision, heat vision, cold breath, super-speed, enhanced hearing, and nigh-invulnerability. While Superman is immensely strong both in terms of muscle power and ability to take physical punishment, he is not all-powerful.

Man of steel - wk 1 "Father Knows Best"

I was led to create this study a few years ago, but I had not finished it.  But, now is the time.  We’re going to use the DC Comics character Superman as our reflection of the men that God has created us to be.  We’re not perfect by any means, but we often use those same characteristics of Superman to hurt and heal.  I have bee blessed to be joined by several men as we discuss this topic.  This week I’m joined by Sean Bouldin (@seanbouldin) and Joe Turner (@1niceblend).  Sean is a recording artist (7A3), record exec, entrepreneur, writer, speaker, father, etc.  Joe is a recording artist, writer, speaker, entrepreneur, Pastor, Husband, and father.  This is just the tip of the iceberg for these guy.  The are true men of God.  And that makes them special.

Depression

What does Depression look like?  Better yet, who does it look like?  Does it look like your friends, family?  Or does it look like you and me?  It’s can look like anyone.  Kris Bower (IG:  @thekrisbowers) had been battling and suffering with depression for many years. He shares his heart during one of the pronounced and prolonged Massive Depressive episodes.
 
There’s help available.  We no longer need to suffer in silence.  We are stronger together.

GOTCONN.COM: Interview w/ LyNe Bell, Founder

I had the unique opportunity to interview LyNea Bell, Founder of GOTCONN.com.  She is the first Black woman to create a Search Engine.  What a way to cap off MLK Day!  The Beta site was launched today during a release party in the Club House app.  I was blessed to be able to sit down with LyNea before the big announcement to do her first ever interview about GOTCONN.COM.  Listen as she shares her heart for business, ministry, women, young ladies and change for people around the world.  

A Year in View

Last year jumped on us full force, and kept pressing. This year, I'm turning the tables like Jesus turning over the tables of the money changers in the temple.  My temple.  I'm turning over my thoughts right now.  I taking control of everything in my life attacking me that is not like God.  Join me in taking active responsibility for what the Lord has given us and spoken over our lives.

This the second half of my conversation with Pastor Alphonso Green.  It's great to exchange ideas, thoughts, and reason together.  Especially during these times.  I enjoy the growth in conversation, laughing, sharing life with people.  Something that I will always cherish.

"It begins at home" pt 1 - wk 8

For change to begin, it starts at home.  Change has to begin with us.  How often do men just sit, talk transparently, and reason together.  I had the privilege of speaking with Pastor Alphonso Green. I was introduced to him recently by Pastor Warenda Williams.  Pastor Green has a wealth of wisdom and experience.  It was such an awesome conversation.  Straight.  Open.  God centered.  Join and us and be blessed.

"It begins at home. Thanksgiving." - wk 7

Words like thank you, thanks, thanksgiving, thankful, etc. were used only 32 times in the Bible.  I would have thought more.  I realized that we too should be more thankful throughout our lives, but we aren't either.  Being thankful is more that we mean when someone passes the salt or napkin.  More than how we feel when chores or some great deed is done for us.  This is a state of mind.  A declaration that:  I will be thankful.  No just during the annual Thanksgiving holidays, but daily. It's a choice.  Listen as I share my choices of what I'm thankful for.
